After LASIK
There are several things to expect after having LASIK
1. Blurry vision
Your vision may be blurry for a few days and then should clear up and get better. Once your eye sight gets much better, the results of the corrected vision will be very dramatic.
2. Medications
You may need to use certain ophthalmic creams and solution as your eyes gradually heal. Some for them may be a temporary fix, and some could be permanently needed.
3. Eye Shields
During surgery, your eyes were tampered with and will need to be protected after surgery for a certain period of time with a protective eye gear to avoid any injuries.
4. Pain
LASIK carries some element of pain and discomfort to it. Your doctor will generally provide the appropriate pain control medications to make you comfortable.
5. Gradual Vision Changes
The results of LASIK can be dramatic within the first few days of surgery, but it gets progressive much better. Be prepared to experience gradual vision changes towards a more perfect vision over a period of months.
6. Undesirable Results
Sometimes, results can be less than optimal due to over -correction, under-correction, or other complications that may reduce the success of LASIK for you. If this happens, you will have to wait for a time interval prior to getting a repeat surgery.
